5" wide rustic grade Hickory plank refinished. |
"Rustic Wood" Floor
Package
If you think you can't afford a new wood floor installed
and refinished, you may be wrong. We stumbled across a
real gem of a flooring dealer and have a great technique for
refinishing rustic grade wood that rivals, and to our minds
beats, the looks of premium grade flooring.
The final
product has knots and color variations that are reminiscent
of reclaimed wood or exotic species, but have the strength
of newly installed flooring.
You may find it is a better
deal than purchasing and installing even a cheap to mid
grade apartment carpet over a couple years time, which needs
cleaning and or and replacing. A wood floor can last
decades. The upfront cost of this package rivals the cost of
a quality carpet, including installation at $4.50-5.00
sq/ft.
Price: $4.80-$5.20 sq/ft
pending wood choice
Our price is for materials, transport,
installation, refinishing, and coating.

Screen and Recoat
Sometimes a floor is in decent shape but the finish is
dull from dirt and dust micro-scratching in the surface. A
Screen and Recoat is a great way to very cheaply, and
quickly restore the sheen and strength to such a floor. Even
deeper scratches can benefit from a protective coating
reapplied even if it doesn't take them out.
For Screen and Recoat, we use our high powered buffer to
abrade the floor, thoroughly clean the surface, and then
apply an additional coat of oil base or 2 coats of water
based polyurethane. There is no major mess or
prolonged displacement, but the results are great,
reinvigorating, and durable. You could be back on your floor
as soon as the next day!
